New Practice for Standard Practice for obtaining Acceleration Data on Water Slide Systems Using Humans

1. Scope

1.1 This practice covers the acquisition of quantitative data related to the dynamic characteristics of water slides when acquired with instrumented humans

Keywords

Acceleration, Waterslide, Water Slide, data, humans, instrumented

Rationale

To provide the accepted practice of collecting data for water slides in a water slide system by the use of humans. Even though ASTM F2137-19 provides the basis for acceleration data gathering in most but not all Amusement Devices, it cannot fully apply to water slides.
