Revision of D2649-04(2014) Standard Test Method for Corrosion Characteristics of Solid Film Lubricants

Rationale

Update references to obsolete Federal Test Methods and Military Specifications. Revise scope for better applicability to galvanic and environmental corrosion interactions. Change anodizing specified from chromic acid to sulfuric acid due to health and safety concern associated with hex chrome. Add a second option for test chamber selection. Revise the use of blank test panels assembly to include a comparative reference. Expand the report section for better guidance for evaluation of test panels for corrosion determination.
