ASTM Committee G02 on Wear and Erosion was formed in 1964. G02 meets twice a year, usually in June and December, with about 15 members attending over two days of technical meetings. The Committee, with a membership of approximately 100, currently has jurisdiction of over 35 standards published in the Annual Book of ASTM Standards, Volume 3.02. G02 has 8 technical subcommittees that maintain jurisdiction over these standards. These standards have and continue to play a preeminent role in all aspects important to the industry including: terminology, analysis, and methods of testing.
